Mobile Car Detailing FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask before booking a mobile detail with Dirty Detailing UK: how the mobile service works, which areas we cover, what each service includes and how to get a quote.

The Mobile Service

How mobile detailing works and what to expect when we come to you.

Mobile auto detailing means the detailing service comes to your vehicle, rather than you taking the vehicle to a detailing business. Dirty Detailing UK brings interior, exterior, paint and protection services to your home or another suitable location.

Yes, home is where most customers have their vehicle detailed. When you get in touch, tell us where the car will be so we can check the location is suitable for the work you have chosen.

It may be possible, depending on the location and whether you have permission for the work to be carried out there. Let us know the details when you enquire and we will tell you whether it is suitable.

Let us know where the vehicle will be parked, and mention anything that could affect the work, such as limited space. For interior work it helps to remove personal items and valuables from the car beforehand. If anything else is needed for your booking, we will tell you when we arrange it.

Not always. Some work depends on suitable working conditions, such as enough space around the vehicle. We will confirm what is possible at your location before the booking.

Paint, Polish & Ceramic Coating

Enhancement and protection for your paintwork.

A single machine polishing stage that improves gloss and clarity and reduces the look of light swirls and dullness. It will not remove deeper scratches or chips. More on our paint enhancement page.

A protective treatment applied to clean, prepared paint to help guard the finish. Options range from waxing to ceramic coating, and we will recommend what suits your car and how you use it.

A protective layer applied over properly prepared paintwork, designed to protect the finish for a set period. Read more on our ceramic coating page.

Both protect the paintwork. The 6-month option is a shorter-term choice, good if you are trying a coating for the first time. The 12-month option is for longer-term protection before the coating needs reapplying. How long either performs also depends on how the car is used, washed and stored.

Yes, glass ceramic coating is available and is intended to help water clear from the screens more easily.

Interior & Specialist Work

Seats, carpets, pet hair, wheels and engine bays.

Yes. Dog hair removal targets hair embedded in seats and carpets. How much can be lifted depends on how long it has built up and the fabric. See interior detailing.

Yes. Fabric seats can be shampooed, carpets are vacuumed and finished with neat lines, and steam cleaning helps with stubborn areas. Let us know if your seats are leather or another material.
